Biography
Nargis Fakhri was born in Queen, New York, the daughter of Marie and Mohammed Fakhri. Her parents divorced when she was six. Her father died when she was young. Being born to multi-cultural parents in New York City, She comes from humble beginnings. She has faced with many adversities throughout her childhood & teenage years. She worked her first job at 15, teaching arts, crafts & ceramics at a summer camp to children for 4 years. Then she started an internship as a student teacher in her final year of college, where she was working towards a degree in Psychology & Fine Arts. It was during this year that she realized that she wasn’t ready to teach.
At that point, she set out to explore the world. She got the opportunity to travel the world & live in various cities for months at a time where she learnt new cultures and languages.
